Writing Games: Day 2 FREEBIE :)

Do you have a favorite subject?  I do, it's writing and I L-O-V-E love Writer's Workshop it is WAY better then the type of writing "instruction" I received as a child.  As I mentioned in last night's post I stumbled upon the book Games for Writing by Peggy Kaye and really loved a lot of the activities.  As someone who loves writing I am hoping to transfer several of the ideas into printables that could easily transfer into center activities.  Here's a link to the book if you are interested in purchasing your own copy, but I borrowed my copy for free from the public library :)
Games for Writing: Playful Ways to Help Your Child Learn to Write

The second writing game that I want to share with you is called Word by Word.  This sounds like a great way to incorporate partner/shared writing in your classroom.  As I was reading through how to play it appeared to me that the narrative genre would be best for this game but by no means is that the only genre that can or should be tried with this game.

If you enjoy the game please let me know by leaving me a comment.  If you see something that you need/would like changed (especially typos) let me know that too.  If you know someone that would also like the game please pass it on to them, direct them to my blog or both!  I have learned so much from all of the wonderful blogs that I have been following over the past year and this is just something I wanted to do to say thank you!  I am hoping to type of more games from this great book so stay tuned...
